Faculty of Electronic Engineering

1. Foundation and development process: The Faculty of Electronic Engineering was established on October 19th, 1998. It is one of the key training faculties of Hanoi University of Industry. Up to now, the faculty consists of 4 specialized divisions and a research center. Facilities are fully equipped to meet training needs, including a total of 20 laboratories and practice rooms with modern equipment.

In recent years, the faculty's lecturers and students have gained great achievements contributing to the development of the school.

Students’ achievements

From 2002 up to now, many students of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering have represented Vietnam to participate in international skills competitions and won many high prizes including:

+ In 2002: Student Ngo Minh Hoang participated in the ASEAN IV vocational competition in Indonesia.

+ In 2004: Student Ngo Dang Lam won a gold medal at the ASEAN V skills competition held in Vietnam.

+ In 2006: Students Hoang Minh Tuan and Nguyen Van Dung won gold medals at the ASEAN VI skills competition held in Brunei. After the contest, student Nguyen Van Dung represented Vietnam for the first time to participate in the World Skills Competition in Japan (in 2007).

+ In 2008: Student Hoang Duc Long won a bronze medal and student Pham Van Dai won a consolation prize at the ASEAN VII skills competition held in Malaysia.

+ In 2009: Student Hoang Duc Long obtained an excellent vocational certificate at the World Skills Competition held in Canada.

+ In 2010: Nguyen Thanh Quat and Le Anh Tuan obtained excellent certificates at the ASEAN VIII skills contest held in Thailand.

+ In 2011: Student Le Anh Tuan achieved an excellent certificate at the World Skills Competition held in London, the United Kingdom in October 2011.

+ In 2012, student Nguyen Van Viet won a bronze medal at the ASEAN IX Skills Competition held in Indonesia.

+ In 2013, student Nguyen Van Viet achieved an excellent certificate at the World Skills Competition held in Germany.

+ In 2016, student Ninh Thanh Nguyen won a gold medal, student Nguyen Van Manh achieved an excellent certificate at the ASEAN XI Skills Competition held in Malaysia.

* Robocon

Participating in the Robocon contest since 2003, the Robocon teams of our faculty have gained many achievements in domestic and international competitions:

+ In 2007: DT03 team won the National runner-up position and was one of two teams representing Vietnam to attend the Asia Pacific Robocon Finals held in Hanoi in 2007. DT03 was awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister.

+ In 2008: FEE02 team won the National Championship and the most solid robot structure award and represented Vietnam to attend the Asia Pacific Robocon Finals held in India in August 2008. In this competition, the team won the “Best Idea Award”. In 2008, the team was awarded the "Forever 20" award.

+ In 2010: VOI03 team won the national runner-up position when the contest was held in Buon Ma Thuot city.

+ In 2015: CNĐT03 team won the third prize in the Vietnam Robot Contest, held in Can Tho City.

+ In 2017: DCN DT4 team won the best robot design award at the national final round.

* Teaching competition

From 2003 until now, lecturers of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering have participated in many teaching competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affair and Hanoi Department of Education and Training. Our lecturers have won many high prizes, including 01 National Second Prize; 03-second prizes, 07 third prizes and 03 consolation prizes at the provincial level.

With the achievements gained over the years, the Faculty of Electronic Engineering has been continuously recognized as an excellent advanced unit. The lecturers, officials and students of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering have been awarded many noble awards including:

05 Certificates of Merit from the General Director of Vietnam Television in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2015, 2017

03 Certificates of Merit from Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2007, 2008, 2012.

02 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2007, 2012.

And especially in 2008, the faculty of Electronic Engineering was honored to be awarded the Third-class Labor Medal by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

3. Development orientation:

- To expand training programs to meet social needs in the period of innovation and integration.

- To develop in the direction of intensive training; provide high-tech human resources for enterprises in the field of designing and manufacturing products of intelligent digital electronic technology and telecommunications technology.

- To improve the quality of human resources training.
